A Look Back at Our First Pillars Evening

Updated: Jun 4

Last week marked the very first Pillars event. An evening shaped by conversation, curiosity, and community.

Held at The Gate House, the room captured the full spectrum and diversity of hospitality of the industry with attendees ranging from chefs and founders to planners, creatives, and operators. Each guest brought something different to the table, whether it was an idea, a challenge, or a unique perspective, and what followed was an evening of honest discussion and shared insight.

The night centred around an open conversation with James Packman of Le Swine, shared over food, the thing that brought us all together in the first place. It offered space to think, sparked honest reflection, and explored what it means to build (and rebuild) a brand in today’s evolving landscape.

More than anything, the evening felt like a reflection of hospitality at its best. It was collaborative, generous, and community-led and delivered an environment that promotes shared experiences, fresh thinking, and practical exchange.

A huge thank you to Sands End Arts & Community Centre, Evolve Events and Velvet Entertainment for helping bring the evening to life.

With the launch behind us, our focus turns to what's next. We invite you to stay connected, this is only the beginning of something lasting, thoughtful, and inspiring.
